Excellent lens Stan. Either the Sigma or the Tokina 24mm.
(Not the same lens) Hardly any difference results wise and
better than the Pentax equivalents, some of which are
mediocre.
Vignettes quite heavily at f/2.8, but OK f/4 onwards.

Presumably this is the Sigma super-wide. There are manual and auto focus versions, I used to own the former but sold it for the latter, but both have the same optics (which are superb). It's particularly good on sunny days as it renders blues (nice skies for example) beautifully. It's very sharp, even wide open.
The manual focus version is smaller and much nicer to use on manual cameras, I suppose the AF version makes sense if you don't want to focus manually.
I would certainly recommend the lens. £69 seems a little bit steep for the MF version, but if it's in mint condition and comes with a guarantee it could be worth it.

I'd have considered £69 the right price when I was looking for one not so long ago - they seemed to go on ebay for around that. However, for some reason the market for used lenses seems to be in the doldrums so it might be worth shopping around.

Well done Stan You can always sell it for £200
£69+ was the going rate for the MF version a year or so ago.

Stan, you lucked out there! Have the mf version and love it. Always fancied the af version but couldn't justify the extra expense. But I paid more than you for my mf version!

£69 is a bargain. They are going for more than that on ebay.

I saw a couple of these for sale as new old stock for £99 a couple of years back. I already had one so I didn't bother. I wish I'd bought them because prices have gone up a lot since then and I'd have made a bit of profit.
Have fun with the new lens, it is excellent.
