Hi All
Interested in the above lens to give me a little more reach than my old SP90 Tamron for "shooting" dragons and butterflies. Your thoughts and experiences would be appreciated
Thanks Mick

The 150mm isn't available in K mount I don't think. The 180mm is though & is well regarded.

Don't get me started on the 150mm f2.8 Macro.
I have emailed Sigma 4 times in the last 18 months to find out if it is going to be available in Pentax mount and each time they reply with the answer that yes it is but they have no time scale as to when we can expect it.

Sorry to get you started Mike should have checked it was available for us, will have to have another think, the 180 may be a tad to long thanks anyway,

There isn't alot in it with regards to working distance for 1:1 (something like 2 inches difference iirc) of course you don't always want as high as 1:1 but I don't see there being a huge difference between 150mm & 180mm.

Mike will have a more informed opinion for you though.

It has been said that the SMC Pentax 200mm Macro is arguably the best macro lens ever produced by any company.

The Sigma 180mm 1:3.5 EX DG Macro lens is about the closest you'll find. Grab one while you can. If Sigma ever do make the 150mm available in K mount they might just stop producing the 180mm. It really is a very good lens.

Thanks guys, I was looking at the 150 size as I thought it would be usable hand held with SR on, the 180 Iím thinking would need a tripod most of the time. Maybe will have to stick with the trusty old sp90 and 1.7 af converter for the time being, thanks for your commentís
