sigma 140 dg

hi all
anybody use the sigma em 140 dg ring flash
on their pemtax dfa 100mm macro lens
if so where did you get the 49mm adapter from

SRS can get you the adapter (if they havent already got one in stock)

Have never attached mine to the D-FA 100mm though .. the barrel of the lens looks too flimsy imo, especially when extended.

I agree with Mike, The focus barrel is a bit flimsy and doesn't like any excess weight hanging off it, the quick shift becomes inoperable once the ring flash is attached.

If you had the Pentax Ring flash AF160C, it comes with a special adapter that attaches to the main body of the lens via a bayonet fitting and allows the focus barrel to travel through the adapter thus relieving it of any weight hanging off it. It works quite well, if not a little bulky. You may be able to source one from SRS and modify it to fit your Sigma flash.

If you want a pic of the adapter let me know, I no longer have the DFA100 macro, so I can't show you what it looks like on the lens.
