Just wondering whether anyone has one of these and can comment on how it works with a Pentax DSLR? Would there be any automation beyond the old "set aperture and shutter speed, then let the flash vary its output"?

I found some stuff about the later CL-3 and CL-4 which suggested that they will track your shutter speed, ISO and aperture settings but I don't know whether the CL-1 can do this?

Well, I bought one. Great piece of kit. It does have an auto mode but it's the same as the old ME Super and AF160 - you set the aperture, ISO and shutter speed to the values the flash expects and the flash's own meter then sets the output to get the exposure right.

It should fit in a Lowepro Lens Case 4 for transport - I've measured the flash and ordered one on the basis of the internal dimensions listed on the Lowepro website.
