Foxycce;
(this is not sa critique, just an advice) - I have read many many of your posts; all have disturbed my understanding of the english grammar and spelling; but mostly I have wondered about what you do with all this equipment you always look at, talk about, inquire about, and want to buy. WOuldn't it be better to put this astonishing form of LBA on the side, and take a few photographs instead?
Just a thought.

Regards.
And Likewise, It disturbs me, as to how much time you must have on your hands to be so judgemental and critical of everything that I do. Even to the fact that you may be stalking me. As with regards to me buying the kit that I want, surley thats my perogative?. As is decideing what cloths to put on in the morning, ETC. And yes I have taken plenty of photos. Ps on a friendly not please do find more construtive things to do with your time than to try to antagonise me , Maby take some photos!

Can we please stop, forgive, and forget. If I was wrong in responding the way I did to a £200 offer then I am sorry. What I would hate is for this forum to descend into the sort of mince that goes on elsewhere like the forums on dpreview.

Anyone want to trade a Pentax 18 - 250 for a Sigma 10 - 20mm ?

Have just bought the Pentax 18-250mm lens with a filter for £275 on here from one of our brethren in The Netherlands. It also included postage too. A baragin in my opinion considering ebay ones are going for £300 minimum with £40 p&p.

Always best to do business on here I think. I certainly will in the future. Maybe those retailers who also sell on ebay like Great Western Cameras should also sell their stuff on here.

Now I'm gonna bugger off out in the sun and play with my Pentax M 28mm 1.7 lens and see what i get.

Its good that summer is on a Sunday this year!!!!

Thats why as a courtesy to the seller all offers should be made via PM and not thrown out for all to see

I am after one of these, or a Pentax 12-24, but will not be held to ransom with the silly prices some are being sold for second hand.

Even if an item is only a day old, it is still in a used state, and the price should reflect this.
Just curious, What would you consider a fair discount on a day old item :
If it were me, and I had purchased something in error (or for whatever reason) I would be trying to get back my full outlay, but realistically perhaps 10%, or is this being held to ransom in your opinion :
If you are not being disadvantaged in any way (such as warranties), wouldn't you buy it at a 10% discount, whether it's been sitting in a store for 10 weeks or in my hands for a day, whats the difference:

What would I call a fair discount on a day old item?
Hard to say, but your suggestion of 10% seems fair; it all depended if the buyer wished to make a minimal saving or purchase brand new for a marginal difference. At the end of the day it's all down to the individual's choice.

Atleast I know she will get a good home now and that's also worth something, and you atleast know what to do on such sunny days

The Sigma 10-20 is a fine lens and it's nobodies fault that the new price went up so much, the seller is lucky this time but it can also go the other way around so just take it as it is and deal with it.

Someone here on the forum said that 2/3 of the new value is a good price to buy for a recent second hand lens or else it's not worth the trouble and I think the same. The filter is also not worth much with the lens you might get more selling them seperate and with an option to ship them together.

You said it's £389 at SRS so that will make it £260 and that's without filters so £250 is a fine price for it

I have found it near impossible to part with this lens but it has to go, re-listed, "again".
