Personally I prefer the 2nd one - it sets the scene a little better and leads your eye along the stream into the distance, I'd like to see the continuation of the 2nd one through the months

Yes, the 2nd one for me, too. But why not carry on with both, though - they are completely different views of the brook and over the months they might tell different stories.

Me,too, for second. A little bit of processing would make the image superb with green foliage and spring passing through it. Nice one !
