I recently had a wander around my home city with the K5 and spent a bit more time looking up than normal.

Nice set Andrew. I like the old/new contrast shown in the first one, but my favourite is the second. It gives a real sense of height, sort of menacing.

Good photographs Andrew, my favourites are Up and Sell, the latter is a classic! Thanks for posting. Ronnie

Some really excellent images there Drew, very impressive indeed. I would be interested to know what lens you used here - also why on earth have you sold your 16-45? I thought you loved that lens!

Cheers

It was the DA 18-135 WR David, it has had a lot of use recently and now filterless is producing some superb shots!

Aah the 16-45....there is a story, simply not used it since I got the 10-20 so sold it yesterday, regretted it last night, agreed to buy Charlotte's this evening!

Ahh, I see! It's interesting that you comment on the 18-135 'filterless'. I've found that some lenses hate filters (especially circular polarisers), whereas others love them! The 55-300 will not hit sharp focus with a circular polariser attached - even when focussing manually it is always soft. Take the filter off - hey presto it's pin-sharp!

Very true David.

I have just picked up a CP for the 18-135, initial run out on the dog walk this morining not conclusive, may well test again tomorrow.
