Selling: SMC Pentax-F* 300mm F4.5 ED [IF]

Hi folks.

I just joined this site recently.
There is not realy a market for Pentax in Denmark where I live, but I have this SMC Pentax-F* 300mm F4.5 ED [IF] for sale.

The lens is in close to perfect condition. No marks, dents, scratches or fungus.

I am looking to sell it, but am not really sure of the going price for a lens of this sort.

Are those prices current?

The first one is less than a year ago, so pretty much on the mark I would have thought.
What kind of price had you in mind. ?

I was thinking around 800€ considering the near mint condition.

I could be wrong but you're in the ballpark of collectors copy at that price (I think)

So 700 would be more appropriate?

As you can see from the images, it still has the QC sticker and virtually no scratches

It's like anything else. You can look for what you want. But I think €700 Would be a more realistic price.

Why do you want to sell it?
Any accessoires left (box, manual, papers)? And are you the first owner?

I bought one of the above lenses and can say it is the best lens I've ever owned! A 'canon' friend paid £2,500 for a (used) 300mm 2.8 and when he saw the images from this lens he said there wasn't a lot of difference !

I'm selling it because I am mostly using my Nikon cameras.

I don't have the lenses in the Pentax universe to match my Nikon lineup to make it feasible to switch although I really like a lot of the unique Pentax features.

I bought the lens used, as I thought it looked interesting. I don't know the history of it other than I bought it from someone who had only used on film roll cameras. (Along with a nice 100mm macro)

I think I have the lens pouch / bag that came with it somewhere. Will have a look for that.

The lens pouch I thought was for this lens is for a flash unit instead. So no accessories. Just the lens in very good condition.
