Hi

Seeing as my last bit of Pentax gear is now about to be sold, guess its time to say goodbye
Due to unforseen circumstances I had to sell off my photo gear and a rather rare retro Mountain bike

These things happen and life goes on, its been great getting to know you all and joining in such a friendly forum.

Will still look in from time to time and very glad the bulk of my kit has gone to a new member here. I do have a few very small odds and ends to sell so expect one last classified thread

Afraid as far as picture taking goes I am now sharing my daughters C***N, but when the situation improves I hope to rejoin you happy lot

I have a Question. I know we are not keen on Canon and Nikon users on the forum, but does having no camera exclude you as well.

Don't think so Barrie, as long as you have owned one or intend to in the future I am sure you would be welcome. And don't tell anyone but I do own a camera of a different make but I don't talk about it and TBH it is not used much either but there are times it is the only answer.

As an dedicated cyclist (and just back from a training ride) I think I feel for you twice as much as the the posters At least I know cyclists are just as passionate about their bike than photographers are about their gear if not more.

Dead right Joe and it came down to the camera stuff or my trusty much loved bike,the one that did go was bad enough
As I said the other day, too many memories of places and friends (and scars as well) for that to go

Ah, so you're keeping one bike. I know I get restless if I don't get out and spend some energy on the bike at least 3 times a week. I could not do without that, so if one thing had to go I would have to lose the camera

In fact, I'm looking for a new travel bike - hoping to be able to take my camera and some clothes and go travelling for a while. That should put Pentax' "ruggedness" to the ultimate test

Oh yes the old Merlin won't be going anywhere without me
Was hoping to take it to Idaho next year, but that's a bit up in the air now

Sold my tourer a while back, but its certainly a nice way to get about
Get out there and field test the ruggedness and weather proofing, what better way to spend some time
