Second hand lens advice

Hi, just looking for some advice on the following lenses and what I should expect to roughly pay second hand. Will be using them on a K100D.

PENTAX 28-80MM F3.5-5.6

PENTAX SMC-FA 35-80MM

I've never owned any of the 35-80mm lenses so can't comment on those however I have used a couple of different Pentax AF 28-80mm lenses.

Currently I've got one of the SMC-FA 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 lenses as it came with as part of a kit I bought in order to get hold of a cheap SMC-FA 50mm F1.7. I've not used the lens much however I have taken a few shots with it - it's quite a light lens and fairly flimsy and optically I'd have classed it as adequate but uninspired. They are pretty cheap 2nd hand though, however I can't see any real reason for using one instead of the 18-55mm kit lens except for the slightly longer reach at the long end.

The other Pentax 28-80mm I've had was one of the SMC-FA 28-80mm F3.5-4.7 powerzoom lenses. It's also quite plasticy but seemed to be stronger built than the F3.5-5.6. Optically it wasn't a bad lens - I didn't own both at the same time however from what I recall it was better optically than the F3.5-5.6 lens, as well as being a faster at the long end.

If you can get hold of one and in decent conditions (there were problems with quite a few of them) then the SMC-FA 28-70mm F4 was considerably better optically than either of the above. A decent 28-200mm (e.g. Pentax's own one) will perform at least as well as them where there range overlaps plus adding significant additional reach.

Saw them second hand for around £15 each and thought they may have been worth it. Was looking for a lens to fill the gap between my 18-55 kit lens and 70-300 Sigma lens. Love the Sigma for candid portrait shots, but sometimes 70mm (105mm) just isn't wide enough. Hoping one of them would make a nice 'portrait' lens.
