Yup, K-5 will make use of the Class 10 and if you upgrade the firmware you can even use the new SDXC Cards also there is a limit to the speed of which the camera will write (see other thread) but you will have the option of larger cards should you need them.

Hi Larry, yesterday during motorsport show I've been using "Class 10 SDHC" card, Lexar 8GB 133x and Sandisk "Class 6 SDHC" 4GB Extreme 20MB/S, to be honest no big difference on my K20D. I have noticed faster reaction for Lexar for viewing an images, but very very little difference. I hope that helps.

I'm still debating whether to keep on with the "not all eggs in one basket" ethos and stick to 16Gb cards for a while. Was only a few weeks ago I paid £19 each for 16Gb Class10s. If I can get them for £13.99 each now that would be even better

Anyone here know if the K20D makes full use of class 10 SDHC cards?
Also,just in case i get lucky enough to upgrade to K5, does that make full use of same?
