SD card & K-7?

Sounds like a faulty card to me. Have you got another you can try?

Thanks Greynolds999 - No I don't have another, but buying a spare tomorrow at the same shop. I'll take this one in and explain what's happening

The card has a fault take it back best thing is try the replacement in the shop.

yeah - sadly it only does this intermittedly though so I can't replicate it . I know it's something to do with fiddling between the modes and changing the saving format... maybe it's just me being a muppet

What speed is the card? It may be a write speed issue, the camera may be trying to send data to the card faster than the card can record it. I would want to be using a Class 6 card with the K7 to be on the safe side. ( or at least Class4)

Hmmm... no clue - and it's at home: I'll look it up when I get back from work. It was the card that "London Camera Exchange" recommended when I got it (top guys btw) - some 16 Gig thing costing £75 or so... As I said I'm totally clueless about digital so didn't even know there were classes of SD cards

I would look at My Memory or 7 Day Shop for SD cards. They will be a lot cheaper than a camera shop.

Just to second Matt's recommendation, I use them pretty much exclusively for camera memory.

I have found that if I make any changes to the images via photoshop or any other software that are still on the card then I insert the card into the camera I get the message "Cannot display image"...hope this helps.

New to this forum and to dSLRs. Have had a K-7 for 1 week now, and I've had to reformat the 16 Gig SD card 3 times already because it ends up at "cannot display image". Is this usual, or should I take the card back to the shop and have a whine at them to get another? =)
