Seems you have to be a registered member to get to that thread. To save the bother of all that, is that an .inf file hack like the one I used?

You are all so kind but so knowledgeable. If it does not just plug in and work then it becomes beyond me.
Just wondering how the results from a stand alone scanner would compare with a flatbed scanner. The flatbed would have more use and be a better bet cost wise.

Seriously, once the driver file hack is done, it really is as simple as plug it in and it works.

Find someone familiar with driver installations, and it is literally a five minute job to sort it out.

You should be able to run it with a copy of Vuescan.
