Beautiful colours, I wouldn't mind having some of these as my desktop
I see you doing more justice to the Tamron than I ever managed to

I see so many pics of plants that leave me cold I almost didn't open this thread, but I'm glad I did.

Superb!!! At risk of sounding like one of those flamboyant camp exhibitionist judges on strictly come Dancing, this is putting the "art" into photography. The composition, the colours and the DOF all amalgamate to provide exciting images.

I only opened the thread because of Smeggy's comment in the preview panel. Otherwise, I'd probably have given it a miss -- what an error of judgement that would have been. These are well-isolated examples, well lit ... well worth viewing.

Many good photographers can take an excellent photograph every now and then - a really good photographer is someone who can bring out the best in ordinary subjects consistently! It's clear to me which category you fall into (unfortunately I'm in the other category ) -

Thank you, all for your most kind comments.

Your collective encouragement in the (4) years since I joined has been most welcome.

Long may it, & my learning, continue!

Viva Pentax!

These are great Roger, very different from many other flower shots I've seen on the site and all the better for it. I like the way you've used lots of different angles on the subjects.
