Saturday at SRS

I have to work on Saturday now, which is a shame as I live about 4 miles from SRS. Plus I broke my foot two weeks ago so I'd have to get the wife to drop me off within hobbling distance, as I'm on crutches for another three weeks, and that would be like dropping an alcoholic off at the pub as far as she's concerned!
I was hoping to quiz the Pentax people about a (weathersealed) Pentax version of the 11-16 2.8 Tokina lens and the long awaited teleconverter. ( And pick some of the alleged freebees!That would have cheered me up a bit!)
If anyone is going could they ask if the teleconverter will act as an autofocus converter for old glass like the last one did. - And why they don't re-release the old version!

I'll make a list of questions. Not sure why I am going as I cannot afford any new toys at the moment due to buying too many old toys I will probably get a screw mount adaptor while I am there though so I can try some of my Takumars on the K10D.

I'd love to be there - the chance to meet some of the forum members, staff at SRS and play with latest kit is tempting - but cost of fuel to drive down from Manchester will probably prohibit it
Don't SRS have any plans to open a Manchester branch ?

I would really like to be there but it is a fair way to drive.
Even when I lived in Windsor (many years ago) I would think twice about visiting Watford

Not all of it, but it's worth bringing a body to try out any new lenses etc with - then you can take the results home on your own memory card and study them at your leisure.
