Samyang ??

I have recently joined the forum, and on my wishlist was a wide angle prime (14 -15mm). I had thought I might try and find one of the old manual lenses of this type, but in another discussion Pentaxophile mentioned a 14mm by Samyang (Korean). I checked it out on Lenstip.com where it gets a good recommendation - , so for a budget item it looks quite attractive. I would love to hear if any Pentax user has any experience with this lense. It apparently has an 'A' setting for Pentax, which would be most convenient. Its manual focus, but I doubt that this matters at this focal length. Any comments or user feedback would be much appreciated!

Yes very nice shots Nigel, the lens seems excellent but also shows the K7 is up to the job too!

K7 still alive & kicking! The Samyang is a very substantial, well built item, and so it makes a great match for our K7 / K5 / and now K3 cameras.

Much thanks for the update Nigel, really appreciate the real world user experience.

Yes, I think the other thing that reinforces this is (as you say) the lack of 2nd hand options becoming available. Sounds like a lot of happy users not willing to part with their lenses
