Beautiful. Not just the bridge, but your excellent capture of it.

That’s impressive, and nicely photographed. Are there more options for positions, say nearer and leaning over that rail? I do like the blue lights in the background though they really add to the image.

Rob, over the rail is into the Liffey, so no real way to avoid it unfortunately, unless from the other side of the bridge, but then you lose the convention centre from behind the cables.

same angle, just wider

Great shot of one of my favourite sights in Dublin.

A friend of mine runs the Ferryman pub on the south bank of the Liffey adjacent to the bridge.

Cheers Steve,
You can just see the pub in the left of this shot from the convention centre side.
I have passed the pub many times, but never been in there.
Must pay it a visit someday

Very good night technical work! You got it at the right time for the sky, and the artificial light colours are beautiful. I like the wider version best with the extra space around.

Lovely shot Derek... love the contours of it, especially how it’s lit at night... was working round the corner from here earlier this year and walked past it (and over it) many times... particularly like how you’ve framed the horizontal lights of the convention centre against and within the angular cables of the bridge... tried (and conspicuously failed) to get anything of this quality myself, but did get an ICM shot of it that I might share at some point when I get round to it...

Best

Super pictures - top hole!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Cheers guys,
Bill, I'd love to see that if you do ever get around to posting it.
ICM is a technique that I have yet to dip my toe in to.
