Yeah, I didn't think Canadians lived in European sized houses!

This is the kind of thing where I'd normally plump for b&w, but the colour version shades it for me. I find the right hand activity confusing though.

Yeah I thought the same thing about the hand... the martini glass blends into the glass table.
the solution of course is to point a snooted light at it from behind... but I had 5 mins to take the shots and a flashtube on one of my elinchroms popped in a bad way.... I got a new flashtube coming from toronto... but did not have time to fix anything for a few quick snaps....

maybe I'll work on it some more in post, I got some wrinkles in the dress, and a few strands of hair to remove, and also roots to dye red in the color shot before it's ready to print anyways...

There's no comparison: mono. I really need to convert more shots and to stop relying on colour contrast to "rescue" mediocre and poorly composed shots.

Oh, and it's a great and unusual shot, Don.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

They're both very nice, but the colour edges it for me. Love that gold and blue.

In this case the colour version just does it for me. Gives it a little 'life' Both have depth from the fish eye, but the BW just loses out.

Great shots though.
