Royal Int'l Air Tattoo 2012

Couldnt find a thread on this so.....


Anyone else heading this year. Seems to be an excellent selection of aircraft to see. This will be my first proper airshow as we dont get anything remotely like this in N Ireland.

Will be there on the SUnday so hoping for good weather that weekend.

Would love to see an A-10 but that doesnt look likely. Aw well maybe next time.

I'd love to be there but will be working over that weekend unfortunately. Having said that, these past few years i've tended to wait until a few days before just in case the weather decides to turn really nasty. July these days can often be a complete washout. Hope the weather is good for you though, i've not done a great airshow like Fairford since getting my DSLR. Last time I used 35mm film and took about 3 x 36 rolls. I could see myself easily shooting 500+ on the day, possibly as many as 700 or so. One of the great advantages of digital.

Will not be able to due to constrain in time and budget, but I hope those who can will have a pleasant and beautiful sunney day shooting away at their favourite planes, maybe there will be a 'Warthog'

Will probably go on the Saturday, as I suspect it might be quieter than the Sunday.....but will check on the weather before getting the tickets...

But this time I will check my lenses work before going because only finding out the DA*60-250 had failed after a few shots at Flying Legeneds was gut-renching

I will certainly be there. Not sure which day(s) yet. I do have a ticket for either Saturday or Sunday, so will decide on the weekend which day to use the ticket, depending on the weather. If it's good weather both days I may go to Rhymes Farm on the other day, I'm going down on Friday and staying 'till Monday so could possibly go to the departure day on Monday too. It would be good to see the F4 fly.
