D-BG4 Grip for Pentax K-5

Hello All,

I was looking to buy a battery grip for my new baby - K-5 ... anyone tried one of these - ebay

This one is less than a third of the original Pentax D-BG4 and comes with 4 spare batteries.

Suggestions please ??

Looks like a good deal to me. Especially 4 spare batteries. I've heard many say the 3rd party grips are fine.

£205 for a grip is extortionate IMO

'Genuine' Pentax accessories have always been a rip off. You should see the price of a spare battery. £50

And the AC power adaptor is ridiculous!!! £140

I have one (as do others on the forum).

Does the job, fairly well made but not a patch on the original Pentax grip.
No weatherproofing and the buttons/wheels are a bit iffy but if you want it for the extra battery power or just to bulk up the K-5/K-7 then its fine.
