Has anyone used Rogue Flashbenders, and if you have what do you think?

They look very useful. I'm going to ask for one for Xmas cos I can never think of anything else in that sort of cheap price range to ask for!

I have one and have just started experimenting a bit with it. It is pretty cheap and cheerful(ish) and I like the way it can roll up to make a flash snood (is that the right word?). I have liked the outcome so far at least...

for those that don't have time to run to the store.... I usually have a crapload of craft/DIY stuff laying around...

one peice of stretcy waisband material, two pieces of peel and stick velcro tabs... one peice of foil bubble plastic from a car window shade (all of which come from a dollar/bargian store for a buck each) and some black duct tape and haybailing wire (or light coathangar wire)

A pair of scissors and five minutes and you can make one really easily...

cut out a shape, tape a strip or two of wire to the back, attach with stretch band or rubber band, bend to desired shape and go...
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Or you could do what 99.99% of the population would do.

Run to the store and buy one.

I wonder how many houses got burned down with that dodgy Xmas decoration.

Those were the days.

I have to drive 40 mins to the city, and sometimes 25 mins in city traffic to get to the nearest photo store.

once I get past all the deer, senile citizens going 40 clicks under the posted limit, drunk farmers all over the road, sometimes in farm equipment, and rednecks that think their pick-up trucks are formula one racecars, NONE OF WHOM will use a turn signal (unless by accident in which case it stays on for hours), I then get to Winnipeg where the REALLY BAD DRIVERS ARE.... the worst in Canada if not the WORLD.... Manitoba drivers will have you abandoning all hope for "Evolution and Natural selection" and praying to God to "Kill them all!" no matter what your belief system is.

I don't think a flash bender is worth the time, gas or risk of death!

Light modifier wise there are some very good and not so good products out there for people to spend money on and I guess it's horses for courses as to which ones to buy! Personally I enjoy making my own bits of kit, I have had a lot of trials and errors, but one of the benefits is that you learn about light and what it is doing or is not doing by making your own kit, and when you get a DIY piece of kit right, a sense of achievement together with a smile that you have saved money to waste on something else that will be marketed at you.

Don, I have never been to Manitoba, let alone driven there, but I think we have our fair share of bad drivers in the UK but currently not a lot of pick ups.
