Sad to hear the news of a favourite of mine from the AP days..........

"He became Professor of Photography in 1975 and published a highly successful series of manuals on photographic technique, starting with The Book of Photography (1976). Most recently he released The Art of Digital Photography (2006) after a research voyage around more than two dozen countries. When not on the road, Hedgecoe enjoyed restoring both buildings and gardens. He replaced a previously-demolished wing of his 16th-century house in Oxnead". From the telegraph obits.

Indeed, sad news. I also have several of his books and found/find them inspiring and educational. He shall be missed.

Rest comfortably old friend,

Stephen
I gladly welcome C & C's. Being foggy minded they really help me learn.

That is sad news; his Photographer's Handbook has been a constant source of reference and inspiration to me since I was a kid.

RIP
