Cool, some sign of life!
Joystick
Fixed Rear Screen
New top dial, no two top dials. Basically a KP setup?
Smaller top LCD screen.
Thoughts, is this finally a K-3 successor, built on a KP concept?
Max shutter speed, faster burst rate, larger buffer, twin card slots but with KP features of pixel shift etc.
No mention of video specs, well any specs really.
I'm glad to see anything new really at this stage.

Looks mini K-1 really. Hopefully with K-3 speed. Sensor under viewfinder suggests rear touchscreen.

Thank goodness, signs of life at last! If it is as ground breaking as the K1 it could be a winner.

Is it going to be the start of the digital "M Series"?

i agree with your observations Richard, except that I think (hope) that it will have a adjustable rather than fixed rear screen. The asymmetry of the pixel area hints that it might conceal a hinge - at least that's what I'm hoping! Looks like it might have a pop up flash but very difficult to see for sure.
In many respects it draws from the K-1, K3ii and K-70 in terms of what is visible. Excellent DNA!

All good points.
Having had time to consider this, and a few drinks tonight, I’m just glad to see signs of life. The doomed cries have been ringing for years, but this dry spell was pretty epic. This at least gives some indication something is being considered.
From a personal perspective, it’s improved video specs that would draw me in. Any camera being released in 2020 needs 4k capabilities, and I’d love to see real mechanical stabilisation returned in video mode.
That being said, a mini K-1 that draws on all those previous models is far more likely. It’ll be good no matter what and if it doesn’t suit me exactly, it will still be great over the existing K-3 models which are quite old now.

If it improves on the K-3ii in virtually every respect then I might not be in such a rush to sell my lenses...

Great news. Assuming that the ergonomics are no less good than the K3(II) and that even small improvements in focussing and processing have been incorporated then it should sell very well although as i'm still on a K-50 it will probably be too much of a financial leap for me initially...at least it will be there at the top of the APS-C heap for me to work towards.

Another thought, does that viewfinder look a bit yellow to you? Wonder if there’s any hybrid ideas going on there?
