Return to film

Since getting my DS just before Christmas I hadn't used my film SLR's at all. A week or so back though I loaded up my Z1p with a roll of Delta 400 that had come free (plus cheap processing) with a copy of Amateur Photographer magazine.

I bunged my on my trusty 20-35mm F2.8 plus Cokin red and ND grad filters and took a wander out one lunchtime to a castle near my office:

My Z1p, with the extended grip attached, is still the best handling camera I've ever used. I've still got various wierd and wonderful B&W films in the fridge (Scala, technical pan, Ilford SFX200, Kodak HIE) so I'm planning to stick a few more through it. I need to decide on a new developer to use though as the one I used to use, Rodinal, is sadly defunct.

Nice photos.

I understand Rodinal is still available under new distribution.

I Use FX50 by patersons. Its a nontoxic vitamin based developer. gives very nice sharp and tonal results.
