A short set taken during a visit to the loco and carriage shed at Williton Somt. where steam engines and carriages are restored. Lots of great textures, interesting machines and very directional light, so a bit different, I hope...

Andrew, I'm really becoming annoyed! You appear to effortlessly produce stunning work. Another wonderful set above! How do you do it? I never really considered myself a "train" person, but I can't help being mesmerized by your images. Do, please, keep up the superb work!

By the way, when I crop the first picture just above the bearings (axles), to remove the metal work, the resulting image (all mono tones) I find most powerful.

Regards,

Stephen

No's 1&4 for me, you keep reminding me of my youth (a long time ago )
when I would go trainspotting.

Andrew keep them coming

The last two for me Andrew.

The yellow and Red of 'Richards Lathe' appeal to me (it's a bit of a shame about the eye protection sticker - could it be cloned?).

'Motionless Motion: Connecting Rods' offers an interesting perspective and I just love everything about it.

Interestingly, one of the theatre groups I'm involved with is looking to do a play surrounding the history of the railways on the Shropshire/Powys border (Oswestry area), which I'm going to help organise. I'm hoping to take a number of photos to display at the entrances of the venues we will be performing in, and your work has certainly inspired me.
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

I like 'Ditcheat Manor', that's a great image. I like the shapes in it.
