Resident Woodmouse

We have regularly had one or a few woodmice (aka long-tailed fieldmouse) living in our outbuilding/garage, where they seem to do no harm. They come out every morning to eat some of the porridge oats which we scatter for the birds.
These two photos were taken (in rapid succession) with a Pentax 55-300 DA zoomed to 170mm on my K-S2. The images are heavily cropped, so detail definition etc is not marvellous, but this pair are amusing:

I had the camera bracketing exposures, with three in rapid succession. The first click alarmed the mouse, who then ran off at high speed as the second (underexposed) shutter opened a fraction of a second later:

They move like lightning and give us much amusement at breakfast-time.

A few of my photographs in flickr.

Gives a new twist to the term "legging it" !
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
