Just been chatting to a friend and the cat knocked the camera off a work surface last night !

He has a Pentax KX and tells me the flash won't pop up automatically anymore and he can see a screw in the view finder.

Anyone know a company local to Chesterfield that can look at it for him or should he just send it to Pentax ?

Cheers,
NB

Maybe an insurance claim?

His misses said they would not need accidental damage with the house insurance so they did not included for that. So he does not think he is covered.

The official Pentax Service Agents, JP Service Solutions, are in Newcastle under Lyme, not a million miles from Chesterfield.

He repaired a lens for me last year. He has 50 years experience. He lives only 6 miles from Chesterfield. I am not sure if he tackles digital but your friend's problem sounds to be mechanical.

Probably better to wait until whatever it is becomes resolved.
Best regards, John
