I know I'm going to be alone here...but I really love that first shot. It's sort of lion coloured, like the savannah! I'd have just given it a slight tweak in Levels to enhance the subtle tones.
But there again...what do I know about it!?!

I was wondering when someone would pick up on the rather OTT colours and contrast. I actually processed it more subtly than this but it looked drab in print. This one is reduced from my 'tweaked for print' version, so may well look a bit gaudy on some monitors

Thought I would share it here so that anyone with a fence or similar between them and the subject should snap away regardless because there's a good chance it can be removed very simply in PP.
This time, all that was needed to resurrect this dreary picture of a captive animal was a bit of dodge and burn over the blurred areas, a hue/saturation layer and the usual levels adjustment.
Lens up close to the fence, low f-stop (5.6 here), 300mm, ISO 200, animal about 30m away.

Here's the print for the children's toy cupboard (Theirs had no watermark!)
oh yes... and some selective blurring.
