Remote for *ist D
I use the Pentax remote F with my *istD and can confirm that the shutter will stay open for as long as the button is pressed. The only minor problem is that as it's infra red and the sensor is on the front of the camera that means you have to be in front of it too.
I also use a wired remote and extension cable whenI want to stay behind the camera and at some distance (photographing birds etc).
Hope this helps!

I would prefer a remote (remote F for the *ist D, I think) - no wires to mess with, and as I'm always going to be very near the camera, range is not an issue.
My question is:
Will the remote keep the lens open for as long as I keep the button pressed? Or is it just a single signal to open the shutter, which will then close immediately?
Any advice will be gladly welcomed.
Many thanks, Dave
