Help needed with lights

HELP!!!......I opened my big mouth, probably when I should not have(sigh), anyway I've been enlisted to do the photo's for a calender my local football teams supporters trust is doing for next year, this is the first assignment I have been asked to do so I want to get it right (look the part anyway). I'm going to do some portraits/semi action/funny shots of one player + one fan for each month, all will be taken somewhere in the Stadium.
I need a recommendation on what lights I should use, I'm prepared to buy a set for around £200/250 either used or new. At the moment I have a 360FGZ, AF240T and a pair of Interfit 3200K tungsten lights (constant full power) with an assortment of translucent, white and gold brollies. I was thinking that the the Interfits might not be the best and I would be better to use flash heads. I will be shooting with an *istD, I'll also take some rolls of slides with my Super A.
Cheers
Brian.

Hi,

Well, just jump into it.

Dont mix the different types of lights unless you want weird colors. Search the internet for guides to portraits using the flashes with the brollies and reflectors. Get someone to do modelling while you experiement with light setups. And when you find a setup, write and sketch it in your little black book. And then go for this setup for the first shooting.

Do more experiments. Get some womens magazine like Vogue or something to study the ligth on faces.

See if there is a photoclub in your area with a studio?

I'm at your stage, but the above is my plan to educate myself.

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris

Many thanks for your advice, just about the same as I've been doing with the interfits that I have.
I've taken the plunge a went and bought this lot http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3860&item=3851723551&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW for just over £100+postage, maybe not the most upto date or best of equipment but I think it will do me just now till I see if I'm any good.
Cheers
Brian.
