Hi, i've been looking for a remote release cable for the K7, im a bit confused at the price range i've seen them for £20 down to £3, i'm not going to be using it that often but at the same time i don't want to just waste money on the cheapest i find if it's just rubbish, i was wondering if other forum members could advise me and also if they are a viable accessory to anybodies kit bag, thank you.

I've had a couple of the cheaper ones, which have failed due to the buttons being pushed in too hard whilst being carried around in my over-loaded camera bag.
I've recently ordered replacements a super budget £2 model one with a built in intervalometer. This time I intend to find rigid box for the one I carry, and eave the advance model in a draw for when I need its special features.
I've not seen any that look substantially more robust except for DIY models (they are very easy to make)
BTW many (but not all) Canon models use the same connector

Thank you Mike, looks like the cheaper ones aren't much good then unless they're carried separately.

Usually Mary I have found one of the cable cores break down and have to be reterminated, even happened on a Pentax remote.
