The top photo was taken by my Dad who died in 2008. He took it in 2000 at the RAF Mildenhall Air Fete I think.
The bottom photo I took at the Royal International Air Tattoo in July this year with a K5lls.
I've wanted to try and replicate his photo for a while now, this is the closest I could get

Not bad at all Rob, I think you could get a bit nearer with some additional processing though.

I think you've done your dad proud.
As for me, all I know is that I know nothing.

A fine effort sir, I suspect that your Dad would have been pleased with it also

Lovely idea but your pic is dominating your dad's by its brightness and contrast which are undoubtedly accurate. As a pair they will work really well if you process to like the older one. There are loads of software packages that will do this or you can go with all the tools are your disposal in PS

Thanks Ken that's a good idea I hadn't thought of doing that.

Great capture and I like contrast between the two. I do agree that toning down your shot or vice versa would complete the job.

Thanks Andrew. Yes he was but I don't know what he used as he p/x'd it all when he bought his K110D and I never found out what he used. However I've got his old smc PK-A 28mm which I use occasionally.
