REALLY CHEAP INK

I normally use Jet-Tec inks in my Epson. However while browsing ebay I looked at some "REALLY CHEAP INKS". Has anyone tried any of these and if so how do they perform? My Epson R800 is getting a little old now and I am starting to think about an A3 model so I thought I might try some of these inks in my R800 before it expires.

Hi, I've used 'Moreinks' bulk packs from Amazon in my six ink Canon for the last year since ink.co.uk that sold good German/Swiss stuff cheap closed.

At a little over a quid a chipped cartridge I was very sceptical to start BUT they work just fine. It means that even though I'm retired on a modest pension I can print what I like without worrying about the cost.

Working pro's need to pay £60 a set, I can't afford to. I have prints all round the house that apart from one or two sunny spots don't fade either.

What I have learned is that all printer heads gum up if not used regularly.

The ink.co.uk supplier (with the Swiss ink version) was superb. Shame they closed.

I've been using TriInks from Amazon and have found them very good indeed on the home printer - which gets hammered by the kids

No problem using 3rd party batteries in a pentax as the electrons are pretty much the same.

But 3rd party inks in my Canon printer?

Sheer madness.

We used inshop.co.uk - don't have a printer any more as they keep blocking up through lack of use

Can't blame the inks they were fine when used but when we leave a printer unused for months on end what could we expect

Cheap inks are blameless then!!! LOL!! You get what you pay for

We have to take the blame - all sets of instructions advise of regular use - my parents Epson r200 used regularly with inks from inkshop.co.uk is still working around 10 years on

I use 'Signal Inks' in my Epson, colours are good and true, they don't block up and they look great on quality photo paper. Can't tell the difference between these and genuine ones, except in my pocket!

Thanks folks. I may give a set a try. I suppose if you give the head a good clean before use it may be OK. It just means more ink will get wasted in the cleaning process?????
