For some people out there who aren't really into items like: photography (in depth, the ones who leave their cameras on the fully automated settings), computers in general, or the internet... A fair number of people have been online stalked (and worse) by posting their photographs online and then leaving the gps coordinated "attached" to the photographs.

Since I very rarely post photos online, and usually strip the EXIF when I do, and never geotag photos taken at home (since I can remember where I live just about) stalking would be an unlikely problem for me.

I suspect any online stalking would be more of a problem for people who feel the need to post their entire lives online complete with geotagged mobile phone photos. They probably don't even realise their photos are tagged, or know how to turn it off on their phone.

In any case that is a pretty feeble reason not to tag your photos. No one forces you to tag them, even if a camera has built in GPS you can turn it off or strip the data later.

I succumbed and went mirrorless micro 2/3, the reasons being a: weight b: articulating viewing screen c: it came with two lenses at what I thought a reasonable price. Taken a few test shots and am happy with the results although obviously can't be showing them on here to see what others think, put a couple on FB which were fairly well received. The only negatives are it's not weatherproof and the battery life. Overall very pleased with it but not gone so far as to replace my Pentax gear. Maybe if the K-S2 had been announced and available sooner I may have bought that, body only assuming the K mount is still king.
