Razorbill - cropped or not?

I'm not going to post a poll this time. Just wondering which version people prefer. Is the 'half bird' at the bottom right of the original version distracting?

Original.

Yes I quite like that crop. I might try something very similar.

First picture but clone out the half bird. The other crops are far too tight, the bird needs the space you've given it in the first shot "to shout into" or whatever it's doing!

I agree Vic.

The half bird/ excess rock,at the bottom could go but the shouting bird wants a bit of room, especially on the right. Perhaps a little space above the shouting bird could go as well but he needs some space to the right and the second bird below adds to the scene.

Agreed, the second bird adds something, for me at least.

I prefer Frogfish's crop to your one, yours is much too tight and the photo isn't sharp enough to support such a close crop.

However Vic's cloning suggestion would be even better.

Hi Mark,

Hope you don't mind but I tried a crop of your original image. I felt the bird was too central, and the crop far too tight on the 2nd image (and as has been said really isnt sharp enough to crop that close).

I put it on the bottom left third, so its "shouting" into a nice space, did a quick clone out of the other birds and added a high-pass sharpen on the bird itself;
