Yes gotcha - It was browsing that seemed an issue, but now I'm confirmed the Pentax photo browser app that came with the K20D allows browsing of RAWs it ain't so much of an issue. I'll get used to 'em The point I was tying to make is that you are unlikely to want to process every shot and quite likely just one or two from any given shoot. So I leave them as RAWs and just convert the ones I want.

The raw editor will indeed keep a record of your settings for each file but usually some local adjustments are necessary at which point I save as PSD.
I shoot RAW plus JPEG and just trawl through the JPEGs or display the JPEGs if I'm out and about.

FWIW I work like this;
Before anything else, make a copy of the SD card.
i. Use FastStone to preview images on the card. Make a note of which shots I want to work on
ii. Use Elements7 to make any adjustments to the RAW files then finish of and convert to JPG (still in elements)
iii. Occasionally, the JPG will visit GIMP, as there are some things you can do there that Elements does not do.
How does this look for workflow, Comments welcomed?
