RAW shots have a border

It might be due to your RAW importer. I believe Prieni mentioned recently that SilkyPix gives him a few extra pixels around the edge of each photo which he doesn't get with ACR. (Those two details could be the wrong way round )

Thanks Tim this makes sense it looks almost like a mini barcode I dont think its a fault of any kind .

As Tim says - he may have got that wrong way around - many say silkypix is fine but several other free programmes have the problem you describe including Picasa - although arguably it is not actually a problem -
