RAW + JPEG

I have not, as yet, progressed to using RAW.

Would it be best to set the camera to JPEG + RAW or to jump in with both feet and just try taking RAW ?

I am just getting to grips with the basic, basics of Photoshop Elements 5.0.

Hyram,
Get to grips with everything first
Then... when you feel limited by JPG (if you do), then switch to RAW (or RAW+JPG).

Well I switched to RAW within a few sessions of getting my K100D as I realsied that I was giving up too much control to an underpowered piece of software in the camera. I felt it was like digital zoom in camera - pretty pointless when you can get better s/w on your PC.

Given the way SilkyPix can be used with its presets I'd have thought RAW was the way to go although I dived in with Elements.
