rare 28mm?

a few months ago I bought an MX on ebay for the 28mm lens attached, a gap in my prime set-up. it's taken a while, but after a bit of research I find it is the second type of M28, f2.8 as here: http://kmp.bdimitrov.de/lenses/primes/wide-angle/M28f2.8-ii.html

it seems they are rare enough to only appear for sale every few years! has anyone got any experience with owning/selling/operating one of these? And care to hazard a guess at value?
