Raindrops and leaves

After a bit of a downpour this morning, the sun made a brief appearance this afternoon,
K1 + Samyang 135mm f2 @f2
Some of these may have benefited from being stopped down, but that wasnt the look I wanted. I wanted to try and push the shallow dof
Just a personal experiment

You'll spend many a hour trying to perfect your technique with shallow DOF - personally I find it one of the most difficult techniques to master, and with so much attention being given to the critical focus point it is easy to neglect the overall composition and framing.

You've made a good start - no.s 2 & 3 are my faves - although they don't reveal themselves properly until viewed much larger

Cheers Dan, John.
It really was just an idle thought, and not something I am likely to try and progress.
That Samyang is one super sharp lens wide open though.
Well worth having one in the bag for the odd times you might want to get creative

As above - great set Derek, and glad I clicked to see the large version - really stand out well.

You set yourself a hard task - and they all worked. I like 3
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
