There were two batteries FREE for members at my Club last week - well I took one as it MAY fit my K10D BUT I'm not sure as although it is a Lithium the contacts are different --can you have a look please and advise if it will be OK to use the K10D charger and use it in a K10D ?
K10D battery has the 'GOLD' contacts

Canon fit ... for 40D/50D

Edit: Not a good idea to use it.

Contacts are in the wrong place, so you couldn't use it... not that you'd want to, as it's not deigned for the K10D.

When I first got my K10D my wife got me a second battery non genuine and it was cheap and I have used for 3 years with out problems so why take the chance with one clearly not designed for Pentax.

Also the Pentax K10D does not use much battery. My problem is they last that long I forget to charge them. Then I swap battery and forget to charge the discharged one. The Nikon D7000 is another story need to carry a car charger for that it really eats batteries. I noted Canon and Nikon users in club with big extra lumps on bottom of camera for extra batteries I wondered why. Now I have a Nikon I know. Which is one of the reasons I love my Pentax.

Thanks for input -- the member who gave the batteries IS a Canon user I remember. YES-- I notice also the K10D battery charge lasts a long time.

Just in case the above doesn't answer your original query (or I've mis-understood)

The first battery (D-L150) is identical right down to the impressed KKA as that which is happily running in my K10D and gets charged by my K10D charger when needed.

The second is the same as that which my sons canon takes

regards

Thanks -- the D-L150 is MY Battery out of my K10D to compare.
So I had to use my Wife's FUJI S9600 to take the photo !
