Hi Howard,
You could try this website link it has a forum etc, I have done what you wish to, but not as quickly as some people. (I did not detail out how I did it, so would have to start from the beginning again)

Thanks for that link Colin, I'll look into that. I tried using layers, cutiing and pasting, etc, but the final result didn't look natural. I'll give it another go sometime.

You could use the clone tool, going right down to pixel level to ensure a precise cut out, but it would take a very long time. Maybe using selected parts of the subjects rather than the whole plane would be an easier option?

All cutting out can be extremely painstaking and timeconsuming
My latest favourite plugin is the Topaz Labs Remask 2. Works in Elements too!
However, if you want to have a go at it, I'd advise learning to use masks in Elements. Check out some of my (old) tutorials on my website: www.photon.me.uk - that'll get you started at least!
