processing yous photos?

I downloaded the trial of Phaseone capture pro & I was impressed with the results of the Raw conversion. It has the option of opening the image in Photoshop automatically after conversion, but it still saves a copy there & then to a nominated directory. It's no good for my workflow as I work on one image from raw to finish before beginning the next. Rather than raw conversion of all images first, then Photoshop. If your workflow is the latter then I'd suggest checking it out. That's the beauty of a free trial, no money is wasted !

And I am much more beginner in processing than in taking pics.

I believe that the contest will not survive for too long time. For a while maybe....
Maybe it could be one themes in forum: processing. As the one where you post your photos for CC. There you cuold post a photo that needs some work, and when some people find it promising, then they show what might be done with it.
I wouldnt expect "art" processing from that (at least not now). I want to see how the photos are made better. I want to "educate my eye" - as some time ago I didnt even suspect, that processing is used SO much.

If you want a competition of pre- and post- processed images then set one in the gallery competitions section. As you can only post one picture in such a competition you would need entrants to put both images into one canvas.

There can be more than one competition in there at a time. If you set one, then there will be a short delay whilst it is approved.

I find photoshop cs3 very useful but also use Picasa 3 and microsoft photo 7 as well which came as part of the package when I bought my computer. I try not to over do things as I think what Im trying to do is record an acurate detail of the subject taken, sometimes I see photos that look just so unatural so far removed from the origanal shot.
