Well. seems they aren't bothered as my chaser letter with copy of original,remains unanswered - no acknowledgement of receipt, offer to investigate, commiserations - just ignorance. Looks like Pentax have no interest in problem products - what a great company!

You certainly deserve a response.

But if you expect them to replace the camera or repair the flash after 2 years of operation, you are possibly more than a shade optimistic, I'm sorry to say.

If I could, I'd happily transfer you mine. I don't use the flash, so wouldn't miss it.

Well, here we are well into 2014 and still the company can't be bothered to communicate with me. Seems they aren't interested in problems with their products and are seemingly happy to bin letters of complaint.

Which company, Johnson's or Pentax?

I sympathise with you but I don't think that after more than two years you can really expect a free repair. You also have the option to use a number of well respected independent repairers
