problem with pentax optio s12

hi all i have a optio s12 and have a problem which is,when i push button to switch off the camera the green led light stays on and i cant do anything with camera when this happens ie switch back on.i have to take battery out to solve problem it also does this when the camera switches its self off as well..hope you can make sense of my problem and any help would be more than helpful.thanks joe.....

I would try cleaning the battery contacts and seeing if that solves the problem. If not, then it looks like a repair is needed.

Is the camera still under guarantee?

hi was going to delete other post thanks ,bought camera on ebay september 2009 and i think i got a years guarantee with it, thought i might have done something in settings only just started to use camera now,works fine when taking pics but every now and then the "fault" occurs, thanks again
