problem viewing images on Pentax software
As for copying any file to your PC, I'd recommend using a card reader, which is fast and convenient and you don't need to keep connecting your camera to the computer.
(ASSUMING YOUR HARD DRIVE LETTER IS) C:/PROGRAM FILES/PROGRAM X - WHEN YOU FIND THE PROGRAM YOU'VE JUST UNINSTALLED, RIGHT-CLICK IT, THEN SELECT DELETE.
*If you are running Win 8/8.1, you might see PROGRAMS (X86) and PROGRAMS (X64) (if you are running a 64-bit OS).
If so, look in both folders for the program, and remove as I advised. Once you have done this, re-boot your computer, and re-install the "rogue" program. Hopefully, it will have resolved this issue.
especially browsers.

Unlike John Riley I shoot everything in RAW, as do most experienced photographers of my acquaintance, it gives you so much more control over the final processed image.

IIRC I was still able to get the full image when connecting the camera via USB (the camera's software is SDHC compatible - obviously!).
In my case it wasn't to do with RAW/JPG but the amount of data on the card (which obviously fills up faster - and therefore happens sooner - if shooting RAW).
John.

Funny thing is that when I go to open the image the preview shows the entire image, and when I copy over to anothe rfolder & change the name to .jpg the jpg opens (albeit small with a black band top & bottom).
Around 30% of the images are good, the rest open like the one above.
I thought it might be because I cut all the images from the memory card in one go and pasted to my pc, is this likely to cause file corruption?
For the time being I have switched back to shooting JPEG´s, but feel I am probably not getting best out of the camera shooting in this way.
Anyone have any suggestions?
