Printing with borders + mounts

Hi,

I am thinking of getting some prints done at 16 x 12 inches (outer edge dimension) but want to leave a border so I can add a mount too – I would be grateful for any suggestions on how much border to leave around the actual image size and who does reasonably priced borders of this size…..

Cheers

Just get the mount cut slightly smaller than the print, or find ones designed for your print size. You can lightly spray mount your print to a piece of thin card, which will make lining it up with the mount window a lot easier if you only have a few mm overlap.

1cm or even less all round would be ample.
