Printing
Print each one separately.
Alternatively, in GIMP you can specify exact select/crop dimensions either in pixels or by mm/cm/inches, you can then copy and paste into new images and print each one separately.
Nothing I can see for automatically unless it is in the printer preferences. My Canon has a "poster" print option, and does something automatically but no idea what control you have. Printer, properties, Page Setup, page layout,
Lurking is shirking.!
What resolution have you scanned this at and what file format have you saved in?
This will be a very large file size. Can your computer, version of elements or printer, cope with this size of file.
You will need a printer with an extended print length capability, to cover 1 meter in length. My A2 Epson would not do that.

The PC and Elements cope with the 320 MB, yes three hundred and twenty MegaByte, file size as a BMP and the working file is actually greater. I also have it as two JPGs, 11MB and 45MB.
The 40 year old original was scanned in in pieces, fitted together and then hours of work to de-spot, de-scratch and clean up.
The Xerox printer will cope with long strips but for tomorrow it can be on several A4 sheets which I can tape together. Long term it will be printed professionally.
I have finally sorted it though - found an obscure way to load it into the CAD software. Sorted out the sheet size of 8 portrait A4 pages and printed out with 8mm margins on one side and 0 on the other so now just tape together and I have an acceptable version.
I would love to find a way of using PSE to do this. DougF identified two splitting options - which I wanted to avoid but may have had to use.

I need to print it on ordinary white paper at full size.
I have tried to find a way using Photoshop elements and either a HP LaserJet or Xerox 6280 printer. So far - no success
Any suggestions on how I can achieve it?
In my CAD application I can "Tile" the print and use as many sheets as I require.
