Anything from 14 MM to 300 MM. It all depends on your style of landscape photography.
Don't just think wide angle. It will only limit your options. Isolating subjects, perspective compression, the intimate landscape.....you name it.

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I'm enjoying my recently acquired FA28 for landscapes, inexpensive, consistently sharp across the frame with nice contrast and colour rendition.
Here are some examples from a recent walk through Lord Lloyd Webber's patch (north Hants / South Berks Downs)

Are you following me around Greytop? Thats the good lord's place yesterday.

Da 40mm seems good to me, and not too expensive.

I recently tried an SMC-M 28mm F2.8 prime. Quiet a nice compromise in terms of focal length and very sharp, nice colour, etc.

Thanks for all your advice so far...I realise that the OP was a bit brief
Looking around for a prime lens for views similar to those already posted as opposed to using telephotos to compress the surrounding.
Looks like the FA28 might be a good addition

But this one was back in the summer! It is one of my favorite spots, from boyhood.
Don't forget the cheap zooms can do a good job too. This was taken with the Da 55-200.

Lovely area though isn't it, also across Inkpen/Coombe way is great too
@RobE17, I would recommend you look out for one, I'm very pleased with mine. You probably know it looks very similar to the FA50 f/1.4.

Lovely, especially in the summer, autumn and spring. In fact winter can be good as well! Snow on the hills.....

I've just found my Dad's old PK-A 28mm F2.8 and tried it on my K-7...
I shot it at F2.8 as the light was fading otherwise I would have used a smaller aperture. I found it with a Hoya Skylight filter attached.
This is image straight out of the camera.
Doesn't look too bad
Looks pretty good Rob, what do you think about the field of view? As Stefan mentioned there is the DA15 Limited but at a price....
