The story cant be seen here. It should be understood from the photo, not from your description.
1. I cant understand that there is a graveyard !!!
2. I have no idea what the PotatoHead is or how recent toy it is.
1. is main problem of course, if you are interested in the story.
If you cant get the theme (graveyard-story) on the photo then look, what is interesting about the TOY itself. Close up - moss, teeth, broken nose or what it is.
not much use of my comment

Hi Mike,
To make this idea (notice I say idea, and not picture) work, you have to turn back and basically become the person you refer to on your Flickr posting. Start with some gardening and possibly go lower and let the overgrow work as some sort of natural framing.
On a personal note, I am not sure if I would be able to modify these surroundings in this particular case. Respect etc........
Martin.

Martin that was my feeling I didn't care to do any real gardening, I removed one large bramble but I would hesitate to do any more as the grave cannot be more than 10 years old or so I'd guess.
I wished that I could reveal the headstone then I think the story is told but I didn't see it although to be honest I didn't dig too far in the brambles.
To turn to Aiki's comments I think the only interesting thing is the sadness of the toy on the grave that is decaying that probably reflects how the child's memory is fading - or that perhaps the parents are now dead. Who knows, and that is what I'd like to have been able to express.

I can't see how to do it. If you can't work out what the subject is then that's part of the problem and visit my flickr site for more information.
